ORAMs team is growing globally!

Last month, ORAM welcomed a new team member who will manage our communications efforts, help to support fundraising and development, and assist with administrative tasks. Kyle Kvamme joined ORAM in early August as ORAM's Communications and Development Coordinator! Kyle is based in Minneapolis and is a passionate storyteller with an extensive communications background and a passion for service.

Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from Hamline University in St. Paul. He most recently worked for a Minnesota food justice nonprofit that serves people with critical illnesses. Before that, Kyle served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand, where we worked in the Youth in Development sector. Kyle and his Thai counterparts designed and implemented youth programs at a government center in the Uthai Thani province.

During his first month at ORAM, Kyle worked with ORAM's Executive Director, Steve Roth, for a week in Minneapolis! Steve and Kyle worked together at Alight's, ORAM's parent organization, headquarters. During the week, Steve and Kyle planned ORAM's upcoming events and activities and held meetings with Alight staff, ORAM supporters, and other partners based in Minneapolis. "Steve and the ORAM team have been incredibly helpful in sharing their knowledge with me and supporting my onboarding process," he shared.

The ORAM team includes a team member who joined ORAM not too long ago.

Camille Ogoti, ORAM's Ukraine Program Manager, joined ORAM back in May. Camille is a Berlin-based human rights activist specializing in refugee and asylum. She attained her Master of Laws in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from European University Viadrina and brings over three years of refugee work experience in Germany. She also has experience in project and network coordination, research, social media, and creative writing.

The ORAM team continues to grow! Earlier this week, we welcomed a new Communications, Development, and Administration Intern! Dechen Khangkyil will work closely with Kyle to execute and elevate ORAM's communications strategy, support development efforts, and help maintain administrative responsibilities. Keep an eye on ORAM's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to learn more about Dechen in a welcome message from ORAM! Dechen will also contribute blog posts and newsletter updates. In October's newsletter, you can read what Dechen has been up to in her first month!
