Oliver Dougherty
Germany Program Manager
Oliver Dougherty (he/they) is based in Berlin and has worked with LGBT+ Ukrainians since 2020. In 2022, he obtained a Master of Spatial Strategies from Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin and completed his thesis project on the importance of building community spaces for queer people that fled Russia’s war in Ukraine. Dougherty has also previously coordinated a residency program which assisted the resettlement of LGBT+ artists and activists displaced by Russia’s war in Ukraine, supported by Goethe-Institut and Artists at Risk. In addition to his Master’s, Dougherty holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a specialization in sociology from Maastricht University.
